Buy a Digital Portable Reader
Is it called an eReader, a Reader, a digital book, an E Reader or a Kindle?
The marketplace doesn't seem to have settled on a name for these great revolutionary devices yet. The big question though is What are They? What is a Kindle ? What Is a Sony PRS 505 Reader ? Well....
Imagine having an entire library in your purse or a drawer– two or three hundred books at your fingertips. Or having your magazine subscription, including all the back issues, right there. Or having the ability to purchase almost any recent-publication popular book from nearly anywhere, and have it in only a couple of minutes. Have ebooks on your computer? Download them and read whenever and wherever.
An e-Reader of the correct type can do that for you. These digital portable reading devices are approximately the size of a trade paperback, weigh about the same, and deliver the content of your favorite books to you on a screen about the size of a normal paperback novel. Page turning is done with the touch of a finger, your place is marked automatically, and you can even highlight sections and take notes with some ereaders. It all depends on what you're looking for.
Sony and Amazon seem to have cornered the market so far. Sony calls it a Reader and Amazon, the Kindle. Both can be expensive, but it looks like prices are going down...especially on this site. Brand new or gently used. So have a look around and be sure to bookmark!
